A studio of one.

I'm Miquel Campos — over twenty-five years in animation and video games, working across roles from animator to director before finding my home in character rigging and tool development. I'm the lead developer of mGear, an open-source rigging and animation framework for Autodesk Maya.

When I'm not building rigs or tools, I'm working on my own animated short film and shooting photography. GrowFrame is the next tool.

GrowFrame is built by a person. AI helped with the code, like it does for a lot of software now — but the design and the decisions are mine, and I wrote or revised every shipped line myself. There's no AI-generated art, branding, or imagery in the app. For my own art I keep AI out entirely.
